"Master advanced cleaning techniques with vibrant active foams, beat the clock for extra tips, and buy or lease new properties."

Beating the clock in Car Wash Simulator comes down to how fast you can move, aim, and switch equipment, so the default keyboard and mouse layout keeps key actions close to your left hand. The mouse handles camera, aiming, and tool selection, while movement, interaction, and menu shortcuts stay within reach of WASD.

Movement and camera

  • W/A/S/D
    • move on foot
  • Mouse
    • look around and aim spray nozzles
  • Shift
    • sprint
  • Space
    • jump
  • C
    • crouch
  • Mouse wheel
    • zoom the camera or cycle through tools

Vehicles and interaction

  • E
    • interact, open doors, and start equipment
  • F
    • enter or exit a vehicle
  • W/S
    • throttle and brake while driving
  • A/D
    • steer
  • Space
    • handbrake for sharper turns and drifting

Tools and menu

  • 1/2/3
    • equip cleaning tools such as the foam cannon, pressure washer, and vacuum
  • Q
    • quick swap back to the last tool used
  • R
    • reload or refill your chemical tank
  • Tab
    • open the objectives and job list
  • M
    • open the map
  • Esc
    • open the pause menu

Watch out for keys that do double duty.Space is jump on foot but the handbrake behind the wheel, and W/S only throttle and brake when you are seated in a vehicle. If you have just jumped out of a car, it takes a moment to switch mental modes, so give yourself the first few jobs to settle into the rhythm.

Since Car Wash Simulator supports Save Anytime, you can hit Esc in the middle of a job to check your bindings without losing progress. That is a useful safety net while you build the muscle memory needed for the Perfect Car Wash achievement.

Gamepad

If you prefer a controller, the default gamepad layout follows the standard modern sim setup. The left stick moves and steers, the right stick aims the camera and your spray, and the triggers control acceleration, braking, and the flow of foam and water.

  • Left stick
    • move on foot or steer a vehicle
  • Right stick
    • look around and aim cleaning tools
  • RT
    • accelerate or spray the pressure washer
  • LT
    • brake, reverse, or stop spraying
  • A
    • interact, confirm, and enter vehicles
